October 17, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 9 months, 1,983,300 foreign citizens and stateless persons from 186 countries visited Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports, citing data from the State Statistics Committee, that the indicator is 29.1% more than in 9 months of 2023.

It was noted that 28.4% of tourists came to our country from the Russian Federation, 16.2% from Türkiye, 9.1% from India, 8.1% from Iran, 4.2% from Saudi Arabia, 4.1% from Georgia, 3.3% from Kazakhstan, 2.9% from Pakistan, by 1.7% from Uzbekistan, China and the UAE, by 1.4% from Kuwait and Ukraine, by 1.2% from Israel and Turkmenistan, 1.1% from Oman, 1.0% from Belarus, and 11.3% from other countries.

Men made up 66.8% of tourists who came to our country, women - 33.2%.

In annual comparison, the number of tourists arriving in our country from India grew 2.3-fold, from South Korea 2-fold, from China 1.9-fold, from Spain 1.9-fold, from the Philippines 1.6-fold, from Kyrgyzstan 1.6-fold, from Kazakhstan 1.6-fold, from Pakistan 1.5-fold, from Oman 1.5-fold, from Jordan by 41.3%, from Iran by 38.4%, from Italy by 36.2%, from Poland by 35.7%, from Turkmenistan by 30.2%, from Saudi Arabia by 28.1%, from Yemen by 25.3%, from the USA by 21.8%, from Germany by 21.6%, from Uzbekistan by 20.8%, from Egypt by 20.1%, from the Russian Federation by 18.4%, from Ukraine by 18.2%, from Türkiye by 17.2%, from France by 17.0%, from Kuwait by 16.4%, from Moldova by 12.3%, from Tajikistan by 11.2%, from Georgia by 10.6%, from the UK by 10.0%, from Bahrain by 10.0%.

Compared with Jan-Sept 2023, the number of tourists coming to Azerbaijan from the EU countries grew by 32.2% up to 81,800 people, from the Persian Gulf countries by 31.4% up to 337,800 people, from the CIS countries by 20.6% up to 748,500 people.
