October 17, Fineko/abc.az. The quantity of Azerbaijani citizens who left for foreign countries for Jan-Sept 2024 reached 1,647,100 people (a rise of 18.9% year-on-year), ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee.

The number of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who went to Iran increased by 36.6%, to the Russian Federation by 15.2%, to Georgia by 14.3%, and to Türkiye by 12.2%.

42.1% of Azerbaijani citizens visited Türkiye, 20.5% - the Russian Federation, 8.7% - Georgia, 8.5% - Iran, 20.2% - other countries. Of those who left, 64.0% were men and 36.0% — women.

69.8% of Azerbaijani citizens who visited foreign countries traveled by air, 28.0% by rail and road, 2.2% by sea.
