Iran bans import and sale of Motorola cell phones

October 29, Fineko/abc.az. The Iranian authorities have banned the import and use of Motorola cell phones after numerous explosions of communication devices in Lebanon, ABC.AZ reports, referring to portal Digit.

Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry & Subsoil Use Mohammad Mehdi Baradaran announced shortly before his resignation that even the sale of Motorola phones in Iran would be stopped.

As the portal notes, many online stores have already removed devices from their catalogs or changed their status to "out of stock". Because of the import ban, phones of this brand cannot be registered within the country.
