October 29, Fineko/abc.az. A new tourist tax will be introduced in Tunisia from November 1, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the foreign media.

Tourists will have to pay an additional 1 to 3.5 euros per day, depending on the star rating of the hotel.

For example, in two–star hotels, the fee will be 1.18 euros per person per day, in three-star hotels - 2.36 euros, and in four- and five-star hotels – 3.54 euros. The tax will apply to organized tourists over the age of 12.

The money raised are to be used to finance services and goods for the tourism industry.
