October 30, Fineko/abc.az. The number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan for Jan-Sept 2024 grew by 368,600 people or 35% against the 2023 same term.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the largest increase was recorded among Iraqi citizens. The number of citizens of this country has grown 3.2-fold this year, or by 3,200 people.

The number of arrivals from India increased 2.3-fold (101,100 people). And the number of tourists from South Korea has grown by 94%, or by 5,500 people.

In the following 4 countries, the growth rate was above 80%. Thus, there was an increase in the number of arrivals from China by 89% (13,900 people), from Moldova – by 89% (1,100 people), from Romania – by 85% (999 people), from Kyrgyzstan – by 83% (1,800 people).

The rate of tourists from Syria declined by 11% or 37 people, from Israel – by 9% or 2,300 people, from Norway – by 3% (40 people), and from Qatar – by 3% or 71 people.
