 October 30, Fineko/abc.az. Czech electric power conglomerate CEZ has acquired about 20% of Rolls-Royce SMR shares. Ambitions are domestic needs and the European market.

ABC.AZ informs that on September 18, Czech Prime Minister Fiala announced that CEZ and Rolls-Royce SMR will organize strategic partnership to ensure development and construction of small modular reactors in the republic with combined capacity of up to 3 GW.

Partnership brings CEZ and Rolls-Royce SMR to the forefront of introduction of small reactors. The first power unit with capacity of 470 MW is to be commissioned in the mid-2030s next to the Temelin NPP.
