Oil India to invest $2 bn in renewable energy by 2040

October 30, Fineko/abc.az. Indian state-owned energy company Oil India will invest 165 billion rupees (about $1.98 billion) in projects relating to renewable and eco-friendly energy sources by 2040.

ABC.AZ informs that the investments will become part of company's plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. At that, 90 billion rupees ($1.08 billion) will be allocated for development of solar and onshore wind energy projects, their combined capacity will be 1.8 MW. The company is investing another 30 billion rupees ($361 million) in the development of green hydrogen technologies.
