 November 15, Fineko/abc.az. An agreement has been signed between Azerbaijan and Türkiye providing for the strengthening of cooperation in the field of tourism and the development of tourist ties.

ABC.AZ informs that the agreement focuses on issues such as hospitality between countries, exchange of information in the field of tourism and legislation, improvement of tourism statistics, gastronomic tourism, cooperation in the field of tourism education and the basics of investment promotion.

The agreement also reflects topics related to the organization of media tours, information tours, events and seminars, the development of a joint travel route, increasing tourist flow through mutual propaganda and marketing activities, and joint activities to preserve and popularize natural and cultural heritage.

Over Jan-Oct 2024, the number of Turkish citizens who visited Azerbaijan reached 357,615 people (16% more versus Jan-Oct 2023).
