November 19, Fineko/abc.az. The number of Azerbaijani citizens who went abroad grew by 17.6% for Jan-Oct 2024 versus the 2023 same term and reached 1,816,400 people.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that 41.8% of Azerbaijani citizens visited Türkiye, 20.7% - the Russian Federation, 8.7% - Georgia, 8.6% - Iran, 20.2% - other countries.

The number of citizens of Azerbaijan who went to Iran increased by 35.6%, to the Russian Federation – by 14.1%, to Georgia – by 13.4%, and to Türkiye – by 10.8%.

Among those leaving, 64.1% were men and 35.9% - women.

69.6% of Azerbaijani citizens traveled by air, 28.3% by rail and road and 2.1% by sea.
