November 19, Fineko/abc.az. Over the first 9 months of 2024, 69,600 new jobs were created in the country.
ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee that 92.8% of the created jobs were recorded in the private sector.
77.4% of the jobs created are in Baku, 2.3% in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 20.3% in other regions, including 4.3% in Absheron-Khizi, 2.7% Guba-Khachmaz, 2.5% Ganja-Dashkesan, 2.0% Lankaran-Astara, 1.9% Shirvan-Salyan, 1.7% Karabakh, 1.3% of Gazakh-Tovuz, 1.2% of Sheki-Zagatala, 1.0% of East Zangezur, 0.9% of Central Aran, 0.5% of Mil-Mugan and 0.3% of Shirvan economic regions.
11.9% of the jobs were created at new enterprises and organizations, 87.1% at existing enterprises and organizations, 0.3% at enterprises and organizations that resumed their activities and 0.7% at other events.
Of the jobs created by legal entities, 25.9% were recorded in construction, 17.7% in trade; repair of vehicles, 9.3 % in manufacturing industry, 8.0% in tourist accommodation and catering, 6.9% for professional, scientific and technical activities, 6.6% for transport and warehousing, 4.0% for provision of administrative and support services, 3.8% for education, 3.5% for rural agriculture, forestry and fisheries, 3.3% for medical and social services to the population, 2.4% for information & communications, 8.6% for other economic activities.
