We are cooperating with the Azerbaijan International Finance Corporation in developing a roadmap for green construction, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Anar Guliyev, the chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning & Architecture of Azerbaijan, as saying this during his speech at the ministerial meeting "Green construction, energy efficiency of buildings and resilience to climate change in cities" within COP29.

This roadmap represents an important step in integrating sustainable development into urban development processes:

"The roadmap will define practical, feasible strategies for the adoption of green building standards, energy-efficient construction methods and the use of environmentally responsible building materials. In addition, the roadmap will provide guidance to stakeholders in both the public and private sectors on how to align Azerbaijan's urban development efforts with global sustainable development goals," Guliyev added.
