November 21, Fineko/abc.az. There is a large number of people without formal qualifications in the Azerbaijani labor market, ABC.AZ reports, citing Labor & Social Protection Minister Sahil Babayev.

He noted that there is also shortage of qualified people among the citizens returning to Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur:

"Because over the years we have almost lost the professional education segment. 40% of the people who graduated from school went to higher education institutions, but their professional training was at a very low level. We are currently working with the Ministry of Science & Education to increase the number of vocational schools and technical schools within the program we’re implementing."
