November 26, Fineko/abc.az. There has been a significant increase in exports of agricultural products from Azerbaijan to foreign markets.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Ministry of Agriculture that Azerbaijan’s farm products are mainly exported to traditional markets, to Russia, Belarus and other CIS countries, but new countries are also included in the export geography.

Over Jan-Oct 2024, our country exported agricultural products for $740.6 million to foreign markets.

Exports of farm products grew by 11.0% in value terms against the 2023 same term.

For the past 10 months Azerbaijan recorded a rise in exports of tomatoes by 12.4%, persimmons by 14.7%, tobacco raw materials by 5.1 times, cotton by 63.3%.

Azerbaijan exported tomatoes for $142 million, persimmons for $52.9 million, tobacco raw materials for $21.5 million, cotton for $160.4 million.
