November 27, Fineko/abc.az. Harvesting in tobacco fields continues in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the Ministry of Agriculture, this year there was a significant increase in the collection of tobacco leaves from the fields.

Over Jan-Oct 2024, 5,600 tons of raw tobacco were collected from the fields and delivered to procurement points, which is 34% more agaijnst Jan-Oct 2023.

This year, tobacco was grown in 10 regions of Azerbaijan, including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic: "The largest areas of tobacco are sown in Sheki-Zagatala economic region, which accounts for about 90% of all tobacco crops.
