December 2, Fineko/abc.az. In September, oil production in the U.S. dropped by 157,000 barrels per month, reaching 13.2 million b/d. This is the most significant decrease since January.
ABC.AZ reports that the drop in production is linked with the prolonged closure of a number of oil and gas production facilities in the Gulf of Mexico because of hurricanes Francine and Helen. Offshore oil production decreased by 12% to 1.58 million b/d, which was the lowest in the last three years.
In addition, gross natural gas production in 48 US states continued to decline for the second month in a row, reaching 114.9 bcm a day.
