December 2, Fineko/abc.az. Since December 1, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) began supplying natural gas to Slovakia's largest state-owned energy supplier, SPP.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to SOCAR, that gas supplies are carried out within cooperation on the basis of a short-term pilot contract between SOCAR and SPP. The companies aim to develop longer-term energy partnership.

Thanks to these gas supplies, SOCAR continues to diversify its export destinations. Thus, Slovakia became the 12th country receiving Azerbaijani gas, along with Turkey, Georgia, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia and Northern Macedonia.
