December 2, Fineko/abc.az. Humanitarian goods imported in Azerbaijan will be exempt from taxes only with the consent of the Cabinet Ministers, this applies to both registered humanitarian organizations and legal entities and individuals.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the amendments to the presidential decree on application of the amendments to the Tax Code and implementation of the Law  on Approval, Entry into Force of the Tax Code of Azerbaijan and related legal regulation issues.

Previously, the list of such goods was determined with the consent of the Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Assistance. Goods imported in Azerbaijan as humanitarian aid are exempt from VAT (18%).
