December 3, Fineko/abc.az. Future Fund Oman (FFO) has recently announced new investment projects with total value exceeding $2 bn, including $1.6 bn allocated by foreign investors and $571 million provided by FFO.
ABC.AZ reports that according to the statement, future projects will create more than 1,600 jobs, which will be a significant step forward in Oman's economic diversification strategy.
The projects cover 10 key sectors, including technology, manufacturing, renewable energy and electric vehicles.
Among the approved projects are transformative initiatives that position Oman as a leader in innovative industries. Notable projects include the United Solar Polysilicon plant in the port and SOHAR Free Zone, which will become one of the largest polysilicon production facilities in the world and the first of its kind in the Middle East. This plant will produce 100,000 tons of polysilicon a year, a critical component for renewable energy industries such as solar panel manufacturing.
