December 3, Fineko/abc.az. The downward trend in the dollarization of loans continued for the frist 9 months of 2024.

ABC.AZ reports that information about this is reflected in the Monetary Policy Review of the Central Bank.

"In particular, in 9 months, the volume of loans in manats grew by 21.2%, and in foreign currency - by 6.3%. As a result, the share of loans in foreign currency fell by 2 p.p. to 16.6% at the end of September," the regulator emphasizes.

The weighted average interest on newly-given loans in manats was 16%, and the weighted average interest on newly-given loans in foreign currency was 6% for Jan-Sept 2024.
