The average commission for money transfers worldwide has decreased significantly compared to a few years earlier, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Murat Castan, the executive vice president of international money transfer system UPT (Universal Payment Transfer) at the VIII International Banking Forum in Baku.

He pointed out that money transfers are very important for international migrants who send money to their relatives abroad for the most necessary needs.

"Today, the average commission for money transfers on a global scale has fallen below 7%, while a few years ago this figure was 11-12%. In some countries, this indicator is relatively high, in some it is comparatively low," he said.
