ABC.AZ informs that in October 2024, Indonesia banned the sale of iPhone 16 on its territory because Apple did not fulfill its investment obligations. One of the main conditions for lifting the ban is company's additional investments in the Indonesian economy. In addition, iPhone must contain at least 40% of the parts produced in Indonesia.

Initially, Apple offered to invest $10 million, then increased the amount to $100 million, but both options were rejected by Indonesia.
