December 4, Fineko/abc.az. Demand in the domestic market, export opportunities to foreign markets, and the availability of state support mechanisms stimulate the planting of kiwi orchards in an intensive way.
ABC.AZ informs that according to the decision of the Council on Agricultural Subsidies, from September 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025, farmers intensively growing kiwi in the Lankaran, Astara, Masalli districts, as well as in the territories of Lerik district located below 300 m above sea level, will be provided with a sowing subsidy in the amount of 9,600 manats per hectare.
This subsidy will apply to kiwi orchards equipped with a drip irrigation system, where at least 650 seedlings are planted per acre.
The mentioned subsidy mechanism allows to cover part of the costs incurred by the farmer for intensive planting of kiwi orchards.
