September 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Food Security Agency of Azerbaijan has warned the population with the purpose of protection from infectious diseases of animals that may be imported in the territory of Azerbaijan from other countries.
The warning says that the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) discovered cases of infectious diseases of cattle and small cattle in Samara, Kurgan, and Chelyabinsk districts of the Russian Federation, and in Shakhovsky district of Moscow Oblast.
In order to strengthen the control measures, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan submitted a relevant application in connection with disinfection of transportation vehicles at customs checkpoints, arriving from above-listed districts of the Russian Federation or transiting through these territories at customs checkpoints.
