December 5, Fineko/abc.az. The new commission, which began work on December 1 and runs until 2029, is now launching two new tenders for proposals with a budget of €3.4 billion to accelerate the introduction of decarbonization in Europe, including batteries for electric cars.

ABC.AZ informs that the commission is also planning a budget of €1.2 billion to support and accelerate the production of renewable hydrogen through the second auction of the European Hydrogen Bank.

The European Commission has announced that, for the first time, financing in the amount of €1 billion for the production of battery cells. However, it may not be understood by the market. According to the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ACEA), in August the number of registrations of electric vehicles (BEV) in the European Union decreased by 44% compared with the 2023 same term, as sales of all new cars fell by 18%.
