Payments paid to municipalities to be made in non-cash form

December 10, Fineko/abc.az. At the Milli Majlis plenary session, the amendments to the Laws on the Basics of Municipal Finance, on the Budget System and on Non-Cash Payments were adopted in the 3rd reading.

ABC.AZ reports that execution of payments on expenses will be provided by payment service providers - banks, payment organizations and others. According to the Law on Non-Cash Payments, taxes are collected in a non-cash form. This provision now applies to municipal taxes as well.

The amendments also propose to make non-cash settlements on payments for services and other fees paid to municipalities.

The changes are designed to facilitate the electronic formation and execution of municipal budgets, their implementation in non-cash form using e-payment methods, ensuring transparency, improving the efficiency of local budget execution and the use of funds.

The bills have been put to the vote and adopted in the final reading.
