December 11, Fineko/abc.az. In the 3rd quarter of 2024, a total of $4.5 bn of foreign direct investments were made in the oil & gas and non-oil/gas sectors of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, said this at a CBA briefing.

He noted that the repatriation of capital amounted to $4.8 bn.

The foreign direct investments from Azerbaijan abroad totaled $1.4 bn ($998 million for Q3 of 2023).

Direct investments from Azerbaijan to the UAE amounted to $431 million, to Turkey - $175 million, to Georgia - $96 million, to the UK - $87 million and to Uzbekistan - $78 million.
