December 11, Fineko/abc.az. Turkey introduces new rules for airlines, according to which they will have to compensate passengers for significant flight delays, which is in line with EU standards and global trends.
ABC.AZ informs that now, according to the requirements announced by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of the country, airlines must pay travelers monetary compensation if flights are delayed for more than three hours for technical or operational reasons.
At the same time, domestic flights involve compensation in the amount of €100 to each injured passenger. For international flights, the payment depends on the distance: €250 for flights up to 1,500 km, €400 for flights from 1,500 to 3,500 km and €600 for flights over 3,500 km.
