In the U.S., for the first time, a man filed a lawsuit against the Coca-Cola Company, Mondelez International and nine other manufacturers of soft drinks and sweets, claiming that their products can cause addiction and chronic diseases in children, ABC.AZ reports with reference to law firm Morgan & Morgan.

He claims that Coca-Cola and Pepsi drinks caused diabetes and liver obesity in children under the age of 16.

The statement of claim says that the giants of the food industry resort to processing products of their own production, which can be addictive in children and lead to chronic diseases.
