December 12, Fineko/abc.az. Donald Trump's inaugural fund received $1 million from Mark Zuckerberg's Meta.

ABC.AZ reports that the company confirmed the information to the Wall Street Journal.

According to the WSJ, Meta promised a donation before Mr. Zuckerberg met with Mr. Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate after his victory in the US presidential election.

It is alleged that at a dinner at the estate, Mr. Zuckerberg demonstrated the company's latest invention - Ray Ban smart glasses - and presented them to Trump.

In 2021, Facebook and Instagram blocked Donald Trump in social networks in connection with the storming of the Capitol.

In early 2023, Trump's accounts were unblocked. In August 2024, Mr. Trump promised that Mr. Zuckerberg would "spend the rest of his life in prison" if he tried to influence the 2024 election. The head of Meta did not support any candidate.
