ABC.AZ informs that during the main trading session on Wednesday, Nasdaq index rose by about 1.8%, exceeding the threshold of 20,000 points and setting a historical high and closing record.

The November report on the U.S. consumer price index coincided with economists' estimates, which strengthened investors' expectations about another rate cut by the Federal Reserve at its policy meeting next week. According to the CME FedWatch tool, markets now estimate the probability that the Fed will cut rates by 25 basis points at its meeting on December 17-18, at 98.6%, compared with 78.1% a week ago.
