December 12, Fineko/abc.az. Porsche plans to reduce its dealer network in China by 30% at once. The reason for this decision was the collapse in sales that occurred this year.
ABC.AZ reports that following the first 3 quarters, the "minus" reached 29%, Carscoops writes.
Porsche currently has 138 dealerships in China. By the end of 2026, there will be about 100 of them. The company will also review its investment program in China. They will invest only in regions that are guaranteed to provide profit in the long-term prospect.
For the past eight years, China remained the largest market for the brand. In 2021, 95,700 cars were sold in the country against 86,200 throughout Europe and 70,000 in the USA. Then the recession began, which increased from 2% in 2022 to 29% in three quarters of this year.
