December 12, Fineko/abc.az. The agricultural business exceeded the indicator of 2022 with income of 1.63 bn manats in Azerbaijan in 2023.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that this means a rise in agricultural business by 246.76 million manats, or 18% versus last year's figure.

The main part of the income of the agricultural business was earnings from the sale of goods, performance of works and provision of services. These revenues exceeded 1.557 bn manats at the end of 2023, showing increase of 18% a year.

The main part of the expenses of business entities is made up of operating expenses. 673 million manats of operating expenses are expenditures on raw materials and supplies, and only 190 million manats are salary payments.

Thus, agribusiness made profit of 375 million manats (55 million manats, or 17% more than 320 million manats in 2022). that 3 million manats of profit account for micro, 52 million manats for small and 122 million manats for medium-sized businesses.

The company's retained earnings grew from 214 million manats up to 266 million manats.
