Population spent the most money on these products in 11 months

Over Jan-Nov 2024, 50.6% of customer spending in the retail chain was recorded on food, 4.2% on beverages and tobacco products, 15% on textiles, clothing and shoes, 5.8% on gasoline and diesel fuel, 5% on electrical goods and furniture, 2.1% on pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, 1.2% on computers, telecommunications equipment and printed products, 16.1% on other non-food products.

ABC.AZ reports that the value of goods sold by business entities of the non-governmental sector grew in real terms by 3.8% versus Jan-Nov 2023 up to 99.7% of the total retail turnover. Retail trade turnover for Jan-Nov 2024 increased by 9.7% against the 2023 same term on enterprises in real terms, by 1% on individual entrepreneurs, and by 3.1% at markets and fairs.

One person carried out purchases for an average of 480 manats per month in the retail chain, including food, beverages and tobacco products for 263.2 manats and non-food products for 216.8 manats.
