September 4, Fineko/abc.az. Analytical agency Turstat has published the rating of countries of inbound tourism to Russia for the first 6 months of 2018.

The Agency reports that the rating is based on the results of analysis of statistics of incoming tourist trips of foreigners to Russia.

"Inbound tourism to Russia in 2018 grew in the first half of 2018 at the expense of foreign tourists from South-East Asia and the countries participating in the 2018 FIFA World Cup," Turstat informed.

According to Turstat, China with 667,000 inbound trips is the leader in growth of inbound tourism to Russia in 2018 for the first 6 months of 2018.

Top 10 of countries on the number of inbound tourist trips to Russia for the first 6 months of 2018 were: Ukraine - 3,730 trips (-4% versus last year), Kazakhstan - 1,544 (+1%), China – 667,000 (+21%), Finland – 461,000 (-9%), Azerbaijan – 396,000 (-2%), Poland – 346,000 (-9%), Germany – 262,000 (+10%), Armenia – 260,000 (-8%), Moldova – 228,000 (-7%) and Estonia – 213,000 (+15%).
