Prices of nuts sold by Azerbaijan to Italy grew by 26%

December 24, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is selling peeled hazelnuts to Italy this year for 26% more expensive than a year earlier, but sales have fallen.

ABC.AZ informs that for Jan-Oct 2024, our country exported 1,378 tons of peeled hazelnuts for $10.03 million.

Thus, exported nuts fell by 37% in terms of quantity and by 21% in terms of value compared to Italy year-on-year, according to the State Statistics Committee.

While in the first 10 months of last year, exported nuts cost $5,760 per ton, this year this figure has grown to $7,277. This means that $1,517 more additional currency was received per ton than a year earlier.
