Unemployment rate rises in Czech Republic

January 10, Fineko/abc.az. In the Czech Republic, unemployment continues to be a serious socio-economic problem.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Czech Ministry of Labor that in December 2024 alone, the unemployment rate increased from 3.9% to 4.1%.

As of the very end of the year, 306,478 people were looking for work (nearly 16,000 more than a month earlier).

At that, the number of vacancies offered by employers decreased by about 9,000 to 246,573.

For comparison, in December 2023, the unemployment rate in the Czech Republic was 3.7%.
