January 10, Fineko/abc.az. The largest full-cycle rainbow trout farm in the Middle East has been launched in Saudi Arabia in Hail region.

ABC.AZ informs that the farm is equipped with closed-circuit water supply system manufactured by Saudi factory Saqua . Currently, Saqua has completed about 10 projects in the Persian Gulf region.

Waste water from aquariums is used in the aquaponics system for growing fruits and leafy greens. It is planned to produce 10 tons of fish this year and 20 tons next year. After reaching its design capacity, the farm will be able to produce 10 million fertilized eggs, 5 million fries and 100 tons of fish a year.

"The project represents not only a technical and artistic achievement, but also embodies the kingdom's concept Vision 2030 , aimed at economic diversification and turning the kingdom into a hub for investment in aquaculture," Saqua says in a press release.
