Russia-China trade turnover grew by 1.9% for 2024

January 13, Fineko/abc.az. Chinese-Russian trade turnover increased by 1.9% last year compared with 2023 and reached $244.8 billion, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Chinese General Administration of Customs.

China’s imports of goods from Russia remained virtually unchanged for the past 12 months at the level of $129.32 billion. Exports from China to Russia grew by 4.1% up to $115.49 billion.

Russia side’s positive balance in trade with China in 2024 decreased by 23.8% against 2023, to $13.83 billion.

According to GAC published statistics, in December, both states’ trade turnover increased by about 7.1% versus November (up to $21.97 billion). Russia’s imports from China grew by 6.2% month-on-month ($10.67 billion) and exports from China to Russia by 7.9% up to $11.3 billion.
