January 17, Fineko/abc.az. Turkish state-owned banks will stop issuing cards with Visa or Mastercard payment systems.

ABC.AZ informs that by default, customers will receive cards from national system Troy.

Such a decree was issued by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the document was published in official gazette Resmi Gazete.

As specified, the credit institution can issue a Visa or Mastercard card if the client specifies this.

In Turkey, they called the changes a "new era of government payments", since now all payments - pensions, scholarships, social benefits, and others - will be made through Troy, meaning the use of this payment system becomes mandatory.
