Iran-Azerbaijan trade turnover grew by 21%

January 22, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, the volume of trade turnover between Iran and Azerbaijan increased by 21%.

ABC.AZ reports, citing the Iranian press, that Amin Tarfa the head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Roads & Urban Development of Iran, made this statement at the 16th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Iran State Commission for Economic, Trade & Humanitarian Cooperation.

He added that if in 2023 two countries’ trade turnover totaled $480 million, then in 2024 it grew to $580 million.

"There are good cooperation relations between the two neighboring countries in the transit and transport sectors.: The construction of a new bridge across the Araz River between Iran and Azerbaijan in Agband is at the final stage," Tarfa said.
