12:18 - 23.01.2025

January 23, Fineko/abc.az. VTB Bank (Russia) has launched transfers in Turkish liras to any Turkish banks.

ABC.AZ reports that since January 19, clients have been opening accounts in lira and sending payments directly to Turkish banks. However, VTB does not guarantee the transfer of funds - it all depends on the position of the receiving party.

"It is very important that all the parties to the deal are not on the sanctions lists. This requirement applies to the seller, the buyer, the final beneficiary and the manufacturer of the goods. The product should also not be on the sanctions list," the hotline added.

The deadline for making payments in liras will be from one to five days. VTB itself will charge a commission of 0.75% of the payment amount, but not less than $40. Currency control is paid separately - 0.15% of the amount plus VAT, but not less than $10 and not more than $2,000. Additionally, the correspondent bank's commission is charged in the amount of 1% of the payment sum.

VTB currently makes payments to China (in rubles and yuans), India (in rubles and rupees), CIS countries (in Russian and Belarusian rubles, Kazakhstani tenge, Azerbaijani manats and Armenian drams) and other countries (in Russian rubles, Vietnamese dong, UAE dirhams and Iranian rials).
