January 23, Fineko/abc.az. CNN has announced massive layoff of employees amid plans to optimize work.

ABC.AZ informs that the reduction of employees will take place all over the world due to the reorientation of the course of work to an online audience.

The company is also considering the possibility of reducing costs by moving the filming of a number of shows from New York and Washington to Atlanta.

"The cuts will not affect CNN's most famous names who work under contract," CNN said in a statement.

Currently, CNN offices around the world employ about 3,500 people.
