CBA and IMF discussed Financial Sector Assessment Project

January 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and the mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) discussed the implementation of the Financial Sector Assessment Project.

ABC.AZ reports that CBA chairman Taleh Kazimov wrote about this on his page on social network X.

He said that during the meeting with Anna Bordon, head of the International Monetary Fund mission for Azerbaijan, the Middle East, and Central Asia, at the Central Bank the parties discussed Azerbaijan's macroeconomic situation, medium-term expectations and forecasts, monetarypolicyreforms and decisions, as well as the policy framework for financial sector stability. Additionally, they reviewed the implementation of the FSAP recommendations. The sides also exchanged views on further enhancing the transmission of monetary policy and advancing the development of the financial sector.

On January 22, the IMF mission headed by Anna Bordon began consultations with the Azerbaijani authorities on Article IV. The consultations will last until February 5.
