January 23, Fineko/abc.az. A new airport will be constructed in Georgia.

ABC.AZ informs that the new airport will serve the development and enhancement of Georgia's economic potential.

This was stated at a briefing by Georgian PM Irakli Kobakhidze.

According to the PM, currently the annual passenger traffic of Tbilisi airport is 4 million people, and it is impossible to increase this number: "Given the growth of tourism, it is important to create a new infrastructure. The construction of the new airport pursues exactly this goal. A new airport is to be built on the territory of Vaziani, and work on concluding contracts with partners is in full swing."
