January 28, Fineko/abc.az. The American manufacturer of NVIDIA chips has lost half a trillion dollars because of Chinese artificial intelligence startup DeepSeek.

ABC.AZ reports that an AI model developed by a Chinese startup in a shorter time, compared to competitors such as Google and OpenAI, at a lower price and with fewer chips, quickly became widely used worldwide. The model became the most downloaded AI app in the app stores, ahead of ChatGPT, based in the U.S.

China's launch of a low-cost AI model has raised suspicions from Western companies, especially the U.S., about the dominance of the sector and the huge costs they have incurred in this area.
