Coca-Cola withdraws its products from markets of some countries

11:19 - 28.01.2025

January 28, Fineko/abc.az. A subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company is recalling its products from the markets of Belgium, Great Britain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France and Germany due to the increased content of chlorates. There are no exact figures, but the volumes are obviously significant.

ABC.AZ informs that Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Fuze Tea, Minute Maid, Nalu, Royal Bliss and Tropico products in cans and bottles in circulation since the end of November 2024 are being withdrawn from sale.
The company believes that the risk to consumers is low, but they are reinsuring themselves. Chlorate can form when using chlorine-based disinfectants during water treatment and, at high levels, can harm health (especially children's health).
