January 30, Fineko/abc.az. The EU will add 35 individuals and 19 companies to the blacklist as part of the 16th package of anti-Russian sanctions, ABC.AZ reports, citing Bloomberg news agency’s sources.

According to the agency, citizens of the Russian Federation, North Korea and China will be included in the sanctions list - among them are employees of the military-industrial complex, energy entrepreneurs and representatives of the separatist authorities of the "new regions", as well as persons accused by the EU of "propaganda and disinformation".

The list of companies will include mainly defense industry enterprises, as well as "structures supporting Russia's aggression in Ukraine".

At the same time, the draft of the 16th package of sanctions does not include a ban on the import of liquefied natural gas from the Russian Federation.

Earlier today, it was reported that the EU may include a phased ban on aluminum imports from Russia. Disconnection of about 15 banks from SWIFT is also under discussion.
