January 30, Fineko/abc.az. The suspension of U.S.’ aid to other countries allowed Washington to avoid unnecessary costs of more than $  bn, ABC.AZ reports with reference to State Department’s statement.

"At this early stage, more than $1 bn in spending has already been prevented for purposes that do not meet the America First Agenda. The previously announced suspension for 90 days and the revision of American aid to other countries are already paying dividends for the U.S. We are eliminating unnecessary expenses," the document says.

According to the State Department, without taking into account the generous support of Ukraine in the last few years, the U.S. spends about $70 bn annually on assistance to other countries.
