Kyrgyzstan bans export of farm animals

February 3, Fineko/abc.az. The ban was introduced by the order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan No. 04-13/4 "On approval of the list of agricultural goods".

ABC.AZ reports that starting from January 31, 2025, the Veterinary Service (under the Ministry of Agriculture) stopped issuing permits for the export of farm animals to third countries, including large and small cattle and horses.

At the same time, export permits issued before January 31 have also been temporarily suspended.

Earlier, a ban on livestock exports from Kyrgyzstan was introduced in September 2024. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the country, it was associated with the modernization of the farm animal identification system.
