September 7, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, the average monthly salary of employees of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) amounted to AZN 1,037.30.

The SOCAR annual report for 2017, it is more by 69.20 manats or 7.15% than in 2016 (AZN 96.810).

"During the reporting period the total salary and other payments of SOCAR amounted to AZN 628.14 million that is by AZN 32.45 million or 5.4% more than in 2016 (AZN 595.68 million).

In 2017, the amount of duty (tariff) wages in the total amount of wages and other payments to employees reached AZN 319.83 million or 51% in the Wage Fund. The main cause of the increase in the Wage Fund is improvement of the wage system in SOCAR," the report says.
